So, my friends B and H have gotten all excited about motorcycles, and that reignited the motorcycle fire that was lit in me when my friend J left his Yamaha Virago 250 with me while he is in Iraq (the Virago is unfortunately not a motorcycle you'd want to take on the highway). So, on Sunday 2005-09-25, I bought a 1997 Suzuki Bandit 600s and I've been enjoying riding it a bit (I'm saving a "real" ride for after my research presentation this Friday). It's a "sports tourer" and has an upright riding position. (For those concerned, yes, I have a healthy fear of bikes, I wear a helmet and protective gear, I've taken the safety class, and I have an "M" on my license.) Do, je dimanĉo 2005-09-25, mi aĉetis 1997 Suzuki Bandit 600s kaj mi ĝuis veturi per ĝi iome (mi konservas veran veturon por post mia esplora prezentaĵo je vendredo). Estas "sport-vetura" motorciklo, kaj ĝi havas rektan rajd-pozicion. (Por zorgantoj, jes, mi havas sanan timon de motorcikloj, mi portas kaskon kaj kirason, mi ĉeestis kurson pri motorcikla sekureco, kaj mi havas "M" sur mia licenco.) |

Nice bike Anderson. Or I think so, all I really know is that it looks damned cool.
Good luck on eradicating the infection collection.

Do you have a helmet?

Are you a good driver?
Glad to hear you're feeling better too, even though I didn't know you were sick. I have some tummy tea at home if you want some, I never use it.

Are you a good driver?
I'm gonna say no to that. I'm a novice still, though I'm progressing. I'm not ready to take someone onto a country road, but around a bit when there's less traffic, sure.

You know a late-night jaunt around the hood on a weekday would be a lovely outting. I used to love going through Golden Gate Park in the middle of the night on my bike with no traffic and a cool salty breeze in my face. Ah...the good ole days!
And I'm just going to throw this out here 'cause it's what I'm thinking: I do appreciate your honesty and straightforwardness. You may be a cocky bastard but it manifests itself in ways different from other cocky bastards I know, and that's refreshing. (yes, that's a compliment, hehe)

Is this motivated by the "leathers" comment above? Is it cocky of me to suggest after our troubled past that I still think of you as an attractive woman?
October 5 2005, 07:41:15 UTC 6 years ago
And I don't think of you really as too much of a cocky bastard actually, "cocky" is not quite the right word (not disparaging your cock here either, mind you) If I can put it in new-age hippie terms, it's more of an energy-flow-block based on natural intelligence, combined with a search for your place among people, with a dash of confidence-salsa all wrapped up in a stubborness tortilla.
